    CCGS Cygnus - The ship used to be a DFO ship and used to do fisheries patrols. My grandfather was the Captain of this ship as well as the Chebucto. They became part of the Coast Guard after he retired.

    Yes, and it will be the first coast guard vessel with a gas-fuelled propulsion system. The Coast Guard expects a 90% decrease in NOx fume releases, and a 20% decrease in CO2 releases compared to a conventionally powered vessel of similar size.
