A-10 Gun run for pinned down Troops (VERY INTENSE)

An a-10 is trying to located the enemy and tries to help guys out on the ground who (by the sound of it) are under heavy fire, it's such a good movie to show how confusing things must be from that heights.

Interesting how you don't hear much of the A-10's guns through the pilots mic. I thought that huge-assed cannon would be deafening.

Yup, had the pleasure of being supported by one once(between Kabul and Bagram)... First some bomb and then two strafe runs. Forgot all about keeping the head down They are perfect for Afghanistan. Their low-speed performs is important with all those mountains and canyons...

This also shows how important it is, to have pilots and FAC's training and training together again and again , location location...

Thats was #the# most amazing vid I have ever seen. Those A-10 pilots earnt a few beers, and the sound of chattering automatic weaponry over the radio was haunting.
