It would have to be better than watching Australia get rolled for 47.

    Ouch!

Probably as much as I enjoyed Watson's 5 for 17 and Harris's 4 for 33 in the first innings. It just went pear shaped from there.

Indeed! Great stuff though, each side played both superbly and abysmally at times. Some really bad batting from quite a few players- is this the result of too much 20/20? Brilliant innings from Clarke, great bowling from Steyn and Philander too, and pretty good work from Smith and especially Amla at the end. I shall hopefully be at the Wanderers this Saturday- luckily the match only starts on Thursday!

Good game, I cant believe I missed the 47 all out, all I did was pop down for a game of squash. Anyways I went to Newlands on Day 3 and it ended up being a great day.

PS If you saw the watermelon helmets, that was me and my mates.

Glad to see Amla scoring big runs again.

Yes very much so. He was flaying the Aussie attack alive near the end. Smith also looking a bit better. Rudolph started off well in both innings- hopefully he can get some big runs this summer, deserves to be back in the side. Kallis played an absolutely moronic shot in the first innings to get out, and didn't very good in the second, but I'm not too worried about him, or AB, I think they will be fine. Don't know about Prince though- maybe Duminy instead or one of the younger guys?

    Roebuck dies aged 55

ABC cricket expert and newspaper columnist Peter Roebuck has died at the age of 55.
Roebuck was found dead at a hotel in Cape Town, where he had been covering the two-Test series between Australia and South Africa.
Roebuck captained English county team Somerset in the 1980s before becoming a respected commentator.
His shrewd analysis was a highlight of the ABC's cricket coverage and Grandstand manager Craig Norenbergs says Roebuck will be greatly missed.
    RIP Peter Roebuck.

Many have lavished the high-profile, quirky and controversial cricket writer Peter Roebuck with praise for his writing after his sudden death that has now been confirmed as suicideand appears to have been prompted by South African Police inquiries of him that left him in an “agitated state.”
We’re not certain that pedophile is the right word for him technically, as we are only aware of him preying on kids above the age of consent, but his behaviour certainly sounds creepy, exploitative and disturbing and it seems that his employers at Fairfax and the ABC knew his form and knew that it continued until the present day.
    Uh...oh....

I wonder if there is going to be more to this than just the corporal punishment he dealt out to some kids he was training.

A 26 year old guy he met on Facebook claims he was " groomed for s ex " and has made a police report detailing s exual and physical abuse.

Seems Mr. Roebuck liked 'em young and bruised.

...Oh and it's probably safe to say Ponting is playing his last Test match.

A decent score in the second innings might save him for the upcoming home series, but sadly I can't see it happening.

Yeah great test. Pity SA couldn't go all the way this time but well done to the Aussies.
