Tactics question

I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on this tacticle problem. Moving through an indoor filed myself and 3 other players came to a long straight hallway that was pitch black. We needed to mve through this hall way inorder to reach our objective. What would be the proper way to go about this?

You have two basic options...#1 - send up a point element of two guys (one on either side of the hall), at the end of the hallway they set up security and the other two move up to meet them. #2 - you all move together a team of two on either side of the hall, aiming over the shoulder and the rear guy doing a rear sweep every so many steps. Also if it was pitch black, Tac-lights should be used, but then again throwing a couple chem lights down to the end of the hall would be ok too.

You have 4 people including you? The hallway forces you to go through it single file?

1) Create as much racket as you can and see if anything pops up.

2) Have each of your guys fire a shot every second or so while you advance towards the objective.

3) Create a column. Have lead guy hunching like crazy, aiming forward. Second props gun on lead's shoulder, and on.

one fun lil idea i ran into for working in the dark sans NOD is to use a flashlight, but instead of pointing it straight in front of you, bounce the light off the floor. that way its a bit harder for someone who can see your light to figure out where you are, how youre standing, etc. juust an idea.

one person run down the hall way and have 2 people covering...believe it or not most people expect you to try to "sneak" up on them but when you charge at them it usually startles them and can cause them to panic and fire and give away there position.
