I'm almost sure that the first flight is set at the beginning of next week, i.e. Monday.
According to an eyewitness, the plane "looks very weird, esp. when looking from the backside, looks almost flat except where the cockpit is, high on wheels, nose down-looking, vertical fins fully trapezoid, set at an angle and fully movable".
Basically what I've said years ago on another forum: much more YF-23 than Raptor-like.
But journos will call it Raptorski nevertheless, who cares

T-50-1, first flightworthy air vehicle, performed low and high-speed taxi tests at Dzemgi airfield on Jan 21-22 with "one of the best test pilots" at controls (Dzemgi air force base shares airfield with KnAAPO)
    http://groomi.livejournal.com/19124.html
ac performed FLG rotation and release of brake parachute, with last taxi ending in duck
    http://kyrazh.ru/index.php?action=vt...c=1076&page=11

    "first flight is soon"

presumably, beginning of next week at KnAAPO, but An-124 is awaiting at Dzemgi on 25th, so intrigue is still on

Indeed, it's starting to sound like it looks more like the YF-23

Could at least say from who you copied the text.

It will not take off on monday. On monday they will have a meeting where date and place will be set. Then we will see. I hope it will be this weekend, but more realistically next week.

If PAK-FA is a YF-23 clone, I think I will weep with pure tears of joyous happiness.

I expect the PAK-FA to have a similar wing layout as the YF-23, as opposed to the F-22. So no horizontal stabilisers. But I doubt it will have the engine exhaust hiding feature of the YF-23.

and from what I understand it's nose is tilted a bit pointing down .. so it's not just a YF23 clone as some TROLLS would suggest)) cant wait to see the damn thing...

You are not the only one....Btw, speaking of YF-23, did you see the first pictures of weaponbays? (PAV-2) I uploaded them in the secret projects forum.

That was harsh. It will not be YF-23 clone, but i think we will see some elements of YF-23. I doubt we will see pelican tail as Void suggests.
