About the breaks - if I remember correctly they were testing them on 28th December along with the engines during the ground test. That is probably what that article is reffering to.

I doubt they will fly it at MAKS, but who knows. Seems to me that would still be pretty early in the testing phase for a public flight and a mass audience. I'll go to MAKS again this year just to make sure I don't miss anything though... )

well, someone mentioned the next MAKS is next year, so I dunno if that is too early or not.

The thing that surprised me is why they never show openly the Mig 1.42, or even show it flying. They have it in a background, but other then that, nothing more.

I seriously, seriously hope this isn't the case. If its doing brake tests... well i'll book at place at Aprils first flight.
How do we know that the problem with the brakes? This secret information.

No one, has ever said there was a problem with brakes. "This is how sensations gets born..."

That article lil bit back is a mix of old, news, very old news, and pre historic news. PAK-FA has been tested since 24'th Des on the runway. The flight prototype, and just general testing prototype. Next MAKS won't be this year, but in 2011. So speculating that it will be shown then is frankly BS.

Not only they have tested the brakes long time ago, but it even lifted up the front wheel and deployed the chute over a week ago.

i think you are correct, i think the gazzett article is reffering more to the engine that the t-50 will fly with in march rather then wether when it will actaully fly in general, i think there talking about specific engines like the 117S .. i dont think the article was mentioning anything about tonights flight.. that seems like its still goin ahead..

    keeping fingers crossed
