Indeed. Will try to do some google-fu on that.
Weight is decreasing using the composites that is the point using them. It is 40 % of the total weight. Lets say something x weighs 10 kg, and is made 100 % of steel.
Then you make something y that weighs 7 kg in total, and 50 % of that weight is carbon fiber (aka, 3.5 kg).

First taxi runs today for T-50-3.
T-50-3 flew, 4:20 pm local time !!
The flight duration was over an hour. The hero of Russia honored test-pilot Sergei Bogdan piloted the plane.
Any pics? I wonder how 3rd prototype looks like.
Not yet...
no photos will be released in nearest future
may be, video
I think I just saw T-50-3 in the Vesti24 , hmm smaller rear half sphere radar section?
Let's see how the new radar works out for them, I hope any problems will be easy to fix![]()
I have a strange feeling you saw T-50-1. Was it painted? There is no radar in the stinger, and there is no plans to install one either.
EDIT: ****ing hell, T-50-3 it is. Nice.

Link included in the post now, thanks for heads up. I thought you talked about the stinger T-50-1 got, for stall tests.
T-50-3 that is, looks sexy without the nose boom. Don't see anything new in rear section at the moment tho. See some black spots, but it is so hard to tell as of now. Looked brilliant in the sunlight as it was landing.
