40 % as in the weight, not surface area. So, there is plenty of potential to bring surface area to 85 % or more, and especially potential to do internal parts on composite. Also notice the shapes at 2.15, reminds me of some areas...

Does it say PAK-FA uses composite of about 40 % by weight ? Any thing interesting in terms of technology ?
No, it doesn't. "40%" figure was mentioned without any qualification.
