A Dude I used to fly with in Dubai was with the air force. He worked on ground radars and the F-16 nose. Love those sky blue paints schemes BTW.

Wow! Great pics AK74U- nice to see those 4 colour DPMs- curious to know more about that particular picture- is Bahrain still using this camouflage in the field? What is the object the man in the middle is holding? Is that a paint brush?

    Excellent pics,interesting subject,thanks for sharing.
It's interesting to note that judging by these pics and others that I've seen, many in Bahrain's Defence forces, like others in the Gulf seem to be rather on the 'heavy' side, to put it kindly.(Oman and Iraq, seem to be the most notable exceptions regionally, in this regard)

For some further reading on the subject, 'First Light-Modern Bahrain and it's heritage'(pub 1994,Kegan Paul International Ltd., ISBN 0 7103 0494 3) offers some good info on Bahrain's Defence Forces; it's history, organization and roles, plus some very good pics of the BDF including it's Special Forces. The text is somewhat self-congratulatory as it's written by HH Sheikh Hamad Bin isa Al Khalifa,Bahrain's leader and 'father' of it's Defence Forces.

RAF registration as well. Did Bahrain buy second hand Hawks from the RAF? If that's the case then I'm guessing it's being delivered.

it is common practice that newly made planes have roundels and registration of manufacturers country before delivery to the customer ( example : polish F16 flew on US registration to Poland and polish insignie was uncovered upon lending in Poland
