It is a different bayonet to what the Americans have for their M16/4s, so probably not.

It might be able to, but chances are it'd be loose and spin around the muzzle if you used it.

Do you think is going to work in Iraq & Aghanstan?
Been Told By Afew Friends Of Mine, They Can Certainly Shift, But As PVJ Said Not A Hella Lot Protection.
Dont know why idiot comments make me bite but here i go again!
Mate, Brits tend to use a different trade off between mobility and armour than our American cousins.
Jackal has been in theatre a while now, take that into consideration with the amount of contacts (we are in Helmand by the way, not the North or West of Afghan) and you will see the level of casualties on these vehicles is not huge.
Also have a look at the weaon systems placed on the mobile gun platform that is the Jackal/Cougar. Once engaged the Brits can manouver quickly and over dificult terrain to a distance where they out gun the enemy (e.g GMG, accurate GPMG, 50. cal, javelin etc etc).
We have mastiff if we need protection on MTR's, but on fighting/recce patrols these vehicles are the bee's knees.
Brits whinge alot (you could never stop us complaining about the SA80 A1 and the weather) but when we have the right kit we have to find something new to pick holes in, ive not met a squaddie yet with a bad word to say about the Jackal. Vector yes, Jackal no.
If the soldiers are happy the kit is performing.
BritSig.
I Didn't Say It Wasen't All Bad Mate, If Your Frowning Upon My Comment, Thats Just What I've Been Told By Friends In Afghan, But Yeah The Weapon Systems I Like, Would Certainly Keep The Enemies Heads Down.
I have driven COYOTE and its very good.
