We all know Brown himself has to give permission before even an unexpected hard knock can be executed....
Join the RAF and sit in an orifice... Office.
Guys, the Royal Air Force is working just as hard out east as anyone else and really isn't worthy of the snide comments posted here. The lads on the front line don't have any more involvement in recruiting videos than you do, give them a break.
That's just plain fucking ignorant and you know it. Tell that to the brave RAF servicemen who are six feet under for doing their job, more to the point tell it to their families.Originally Posted by p_unit_ghetto
Would you say the same about the Royal Air Force after one of their CAS missions had saved your sorry arse.
Call them crabs, Rock-apes, whatever, but show them some bloody respect.
A convoy stretching for eight kilometres and consisting of more than one hundred UK, US and Afghan National Army vehicles set off just before the Afghan elections in mid August to resupply coalition bases in northern Helmand.
The 116-vehicle convoy, one of the biggest to ever leave Camp Bastion, was travelling a dangerous 70km to bases in the Sangin Valley via the outskirts of Gereshk and then off-road through open desert.
Captain Gareth Lowe, the Operations Officer for Camp Bastion's Close Support Logistic Regiment, said, "We're going to fight these vehicles through no matter what the enemy throw at us."
Sounds like Vietnam, and not limited to the UK now no doubt. Bummer when the warfighting professionals have to check in with the corner office. Ineffective, dangerous, and downright foolhardy when politicians call the shots as opposed to backing their boys on the spot.
PC=Provisionally Constricted, Professionally Conflicted.
P.S. Roger that DW. Everyone's doing their job.
