    Not to sure on that, but AFIAK they were to replace the FAL Paras that were captured in the Falklands and used in NI, The G3 was a beast of a weapon in a Car and was hard to manouvre.
    Unfortunately, Ive only fired one once or twice so this could just be hearsay. Anyway great pics.

    Both the G3 and the HK53 (which wasn't a beast to handle in a car - unlike the G3 and the Para FAL [which was never used by Crown forces in NI to my knowledge]) were in service long before 1982.

    As I imagined it was just hearsay, I can't remember where I heard it but as I can remember it was something about the SAS using the Para FAL in NI but again then again I could have my wires crossed.

    I think u are thinking about that book IA from Andie macbull****, i used the HK53 in Ireland back in 2000 ish but that was for certain work
