I thought exactly the same thing! Took alot of time before women actualy dressed that naked.
(although i just wiki it: "The bikini, which shocked when it appeared on French beaches in 1947" and "The modern bikini started to emerge again in 1907''
So she was probably one of the view.. (getting the attention of the germans)

you are right, but on the other hand even stalin or mao caused "more" death.
they were at least as cruel as hitler.
im no nazi but i just wanted to point this out, cause the most people forget this fact and only know "evil hitler" and the "evil germany"

Grandpa handed me some 30 autograms of Wehrmacht and Luftwaffe Officers that he wrote to during the War, Galland is one of them. (At the time of the postcard autogram he was "Oberst")

Ill scan them if I have time, last uni - test tomorrow so no time today.

The guy beside Galland is another Luftwaffe knight's cross holder and spain veteran, but I don't recognize him.

Re the bikini, the 1940s were generally much more relaxed in morals than the 1950s, and it doesn't necessarily have been in France.

Interesting pics, nevertheless there is one thing that I miss there - a nuclear mushroom over Berlin. But seriously, one pic is showing Polish soldiers. I assume they were taken into Germany as free labour force.
