their are some preban makes like hte aug and i believe there are a few famas rifles but be ready to pay a fortune for them.

berret was considered making the tavor 2 but i believe those plans died.

other then that there are a few bullpup ak kits and i believe one bullpup fal kit.

best bet is probably just go with the bushmaster if you require or have to have a bullpup. florida pd is using them suposedly so they cant be that bad.

I saw the FAL buulpup kit at this years SHOT show. I think ACE manufacturing make it (know for making assualt weapons stocks), the owner said he was working on an AR bullpup (I don't know how he is going to move the recoil buffer/spring). There are kits for the Ruger Mini-14/30, 10/22 and other Ruger autoloaders as well. Personally I think the Bushmaster looks pretty hanious and the rail is to high, no iron sights. There are a couple of customized ones on www.AR-15.com that deals with these issues (I guess there is a gunsmith who specializes in customizing them).

I've seen kits for almost every action you can think of right down the SKS and M1 Carbine. I've even seen a Ruger 10/22 dressed up to look like a Walther WA2000. They're out there, but most people look at them as over-priced novelties.

i saw pics of the fal kit and was unimpressed due to the trigger rod being out side of the reciever.

Correct on his proto-type, the rod was exposed. This was in the early stages of development and that was on of the things that was going to be changed if it ever went into production. The rod was a straight pull as well, this could be improved with a cam mechanism.

One thing about the bushmaster kits is that the trigger pull gets "squishy" due to the plastic pieces they use. I had to make my own trigger rod out of metal before the trigger pull was acceptable. course that was for a 10/22 kit and a few years ago, your milage may vary but beware that it might not be all that it claims to be.
