Our biggest mistake was J. Edgar Hoover's deportation of Professor Hsue-Shen Tsien from Cal Tech.
    Even against US Military objections.

Your biggest mistake is McCarthyism, one of founders of US space industry was persecuted.

After several years in horrible Alcatraz Island, he volunteered for returning to China because of persecution from US government, it was also a part of plan of exchange of prisoners for Korea war.

The honor belongs to Professor Hsue-Shen Tsien and other Chinese scientists in domestic or back from foreign in 1950s~1990s. Especially for Professor Hsue-Shen Tsien, he was the founder of Chinese ballistic missile industry, the father of Chinese aerospace industry, the builder of Chinese nuclear industry, the most famouse person in China, the treasure of Chinese people, the best of the best Chinese.

"a person value more than five military army"
    Professor Hsue-Shen Tsien wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tsien_Hsue-shen

Professor Hsue-Shen Tsien served in America, he was the colonel of USAAF. He was firstly a group of Americans(before back PRC) researched WWII Germany V-2 rocket, one of the founders of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory at California Institute of Technology.

Professor Hsue-Shen Tsien back to PRC, he was the treasure of whole China.(He returned PRC at 1955 , we all know how 1950s China looks like --- nothing except poor)

October 31, 2009 (aged 97),Chinese government held a state funeral for him and all CCP senior officials attend the funeral.

For Chinese,Professor Hsue-Shen Tsien was a great man. China never stoop and fall down, because there'r many patriots(like Professor Hsue-Shen Tsien) stand out to save Chinese nation and China in distress.

BTW Professor Hsue-Shen Tsien back to PRC When China exchanged U.S aviators prisoners of Korean War with U.S government =).
