Ok, lets wrap this OT up shall we.
That's quite immaterial to me. I have proposed Most information above. If you trust me, turst; if you don't trust me, then don't trust. Ten years ago, every western competitor laughed at a Chinese telecom technology supplier called Huawei, but now it has became the second biggest technology supplier. I'm pleasure to see the same thing happen in military field again.(I'm a employer of Huawei working in UK, not advertisement)
Listen, I am not saying everything Chinese is crap or anything. China has impressed everyone in the last 10 years. I love the fact that if you don't want to shell out $300 for something, you can get an equivalent in China for much cheaper. But saying that things that is very important in development to one country has forced them to go to another is quite the statement to make, especially with no backup or evidence. Just saying.
anyway.
Are there any cockpit shots of the Q-5M?
Are you sure all of Chinese product is cheap?
Our product is the second expensive in the project of HSPA+ of T-mobile in South Germany in 2008, just cheaper than Ericsson, much more highly expensive than Nokia-Siemens, Alcutel-Lecent, Moto, Nortel(bad lucky guy) and so on. And we win the project at last.
Do you know the price of MBT2000 bought by the army of Peru?
Yeah, with very bad reputation (quality of it's products, also un licenced copying etc.), US and EU already thinks to kich Huawei from their market.Ten years ago, every western competitor laughed at a Chinese telecom technology supplier called Huawei, but now it has became the second biggest technology supplier.
BTW Huawei here in Poland have not very nice name (I don't know how to write this in english, let say a pseudonim).
In what manner?! You think that Your country producing some new MBT's (and only one, to two divisions equiped with true IIIrd. generation MBT's), IFV's (also not in big quantity), planes etc. that have no superiority over Russian, Ukrainian, British, German, French, Israeli, Japan, S.Korean and US weponar, become a military leading power? Maybe more realism and no hurra (hoorah) patriotysm...I'm pleasure to see the same thing happen in military field again.
The countries that have money will buy better western or Russian/Ukrainian equipment, countries with less money will buy chepaer equipment from mentioned states or buy Chinese products, and this are facts.
@Damian
while I mostly agree with you, I still have to post an exemption here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PLZ-45
The PLZ-45 155mm artillery, chosed by the Saudi-Arabian- and Kuwaiti Army instead of the M109 Paladin, because of superior quality and performance.
So one cannot gerneralize that Chinese weapons are 'always' inferior to western competitors.
@everyone else
In other news; watch 1:07-1:12 - What a tight and fast turn by the J-10...
CDF-say that it is capable of 33 degrees/s sustained turnrate... seeing this footage, I expect even more.
oops forgot link:

EDIT:
PLZ-45 is only an export version... The PLA is using the PLZ-05 with a 54 cal gun and with a full-automatic loading system, in contrast to the 45 cal gun and semi-auto loader on the PLZ-45, making it possible to shoot 8-10 rounds per minute.
Max-range extended to over 50 km with rocket-assisted projectiles and compatible with licenced Krasnopol Laser Guided projectiles.

This makes sense now... after all, China is only exporting its Hardware, if something newer and better is in use by the PLA. In other words; only downgraded weapons will be exported.
