    Default Force Recon TC2000 Helmets!?!

Hey, i know this might be a tad offtopic, but I'm hoping to get some good answers from some true gearfreaks!

Do Force Recon get their TC2000 helmets issued in TAN? Or ar they issued in OD and later spraypainted in TAN.

Since some of my team mates might be running of buying new helmets soon we want to get it right.

Here are some pictures just for reference!

    Thanks in advance!

I personally belive that they are issued in TAN, but i need confirmation!

This mainly because there should be some kind of visible OD paint in scratches gouges and dents, if they had been OD by default. Even the rubber parts are in flawless tan, despite other signs of wear and tear. And also that they are way to consistent in colour + painted insides, which would mean taking out all of the interior ( including sticky velcro tape ).

Now if they are issued in MSA OD and repainted, does anyone know what paint is used to get that flawless coat with barely no visible flaws?

Your theories are much appreciated regardless of your knowledge regarding the Force Recon.

Here are some pictures just for reference!

    Thanks in advance!

    Is this question for airsoft?

Given that the screws on the exterior are still black, I'd imagine they came out of the factory in the tan color.

MSA makes 'em in green, tan and black. Those are tan out of the box.

For future reference, all airsoft questions should go in the airsoft section. In many cases those guys know more about the superficial/appearance aspects of said equipment than many of the folks who use it for a living.

    *face palm*

Seriously, why does it matter? Is that level of detail really important to you? Seriously, do you not have anything better to do with your time. I am an airsofter and obsessive people like you make me ashamed to say I am.

Made in neon pink then spraypainted for shipping in black, sanded down and re-spraypainted green when recieved into stores by USMC then sanded and re-re-spraypainted tan when issued to Force Recon.

Dont forget to spray in well ventelated room

    That made my day.

    But honestly, ventilation is key.

This thread is so awesome, he posted it twice!

But yeah, I agree Troubadour, seems as if people care about being hi-speed than having a fun time playing. I personally blame Black Hawk Down for the inspiration of all these "impressions". In my opinion, if you can't just throw on a set of BDU's and some surplus webbing before you head out to a skirmish, then I suggest people become models.
