No, I am not saying that either. Its airsoft part of it is looking cool, but I don't obsess over what real soldiers wear and ****. I just buy (clone gear) and wear what I think looks cool. Those other kids are just strange, buying $1000 real deal vests with soft armor and esapi's. A thousand of accessories you can't use in airsoft. You play airsoft cause you wanna shoot something that looks cool, if you didn't care about that you would play paintball.

I just think some people take it way too far and then they take it even further.

That's exactly what I was trying to say (sorta), you see a whole bunch of those flex-cuffs, heavy rucksacks, NVG's, chemsticks, and a plastic spoon that costs plenty of money already, on top of you buying a $1000+ kit. And on top of that, they'll only be there for 2-5 hours in the middle of the day.

If anything, all of the money people spend on useless trinkets for your kit could buy you a new gearbox, spring, or re-decorate it Magpul style for your weapon.

Haha, I got all my little trinkets free from a shop because no one bought them. Whatever, its a hobby people wanna look cool. Its fun to them and harmless, just when they go overboard and start posing its a bit irritating and angers people. I dont think there is anything wrong with wearing gear if you like it, but I mean obsessing over soldiers pictures is a bit messed up.

I agree, and that statement saying that Airsofters know more about SOCOM personnel's gear than they themselves do is pretty much 100% true.

That is what they're into. I bet someone obsessed with baseball knows more about a baseball player then the baseball player knows.

There's always one person that's smarter than you are.

im not an airsofter but i think its a plus that people are interested in our military and people put down airsofters on this website but i guess they could be doing worse things like cooking meth and inhailing cleaning products. if we could get more people admiring our heroes and good rolemodels instead of sports stars shooting in strip clubs we could have a better country and better society in general. my 2 cents.

Can't say that I disagree with you. It's the soldiers who risk their lives every day that people should look up to, not jocks who earn millions of dollars to run around and get sweaty for 2 or 3 hours.

I bet that if there were airsoft toys back in the days of the old farts here~sorry "league of cantankerous gentlemen" they'd be into it too.

But these airsofters keep the economy going! We should ALL be spending thousands on useless sh*t!
