in most cases they're 6 millimeter, .20 - .30 grams plastic BB's. some fields sell and require bio-degradable BB's, but they are generally less reliable than your average TSD or Excel brand BB.

some specialized rifles and pistols use 8 millimeter BB's.

We wore everything. There were still guys in 73 wearing British soup bowl helmets. They were still in the armory in some kitbags on Kibbutz Maale HaHamisha as late as 1980. By 1982 we used them as planters down south. In 1982 you can find pics of IDF wearing both the US style steel-pot and the Israeli Ka-plast (kasdah plastic?) or what you're calling Orlite (manufacturer.) The ka-plast is what I wore in the mid 80s, and what i jumped with. Way lighter than an M1 steel helmet. By 1986 and 87 I don't recall seeing anyone, conscript or reservist in the combat arms wearing anything but the Orlite (or Rabintex) or the RBH with the ear flaps for communications.

Here is a link that discusses the early use of the British Para helmet in the early Tzanhanim days. http://www.historama.com/onlineprice...a/0110038.html

Thanks for the info. I didn't think anyone wore the old Brit soup bowl helmets after 1948.

MARS cost an eye of your face, a real MARS ( around 1100 U$D ???). Who in his sense would put a real MARS in a M4 airsoft gun

    yes, but with awesomess!

i'm just kidding, anyway, in airsoft people use stuff like: real eotech, surefire m900A, night vision goggles and even thermo-camera (cheater), to get a "professional" look.
Nothing is absolutely usefull, everything may help.

I was sooo close of buying a WE m4. It's better to wait for the CO2 version.
