For the purpose of reenacting i use a Mark6 helmet. All IDF covers fits good. It is not easy to get an Orlite for an good price... well ok if you have the money, buy one... it's original! I got this one from a british company for 25 British Pounds...

That new Israeli helmet, the light one, does look like the new US one, the Mich.

Yes, it was very interessting how the costs of used Mark 6 helmets depend. From 25 pounds to 300 pounds ..weird! But Orlites are really really rare to find...

some questions... is it with the helmets of the IDF a little bit similar to the guns. You use the ones you had the Gibushon with... or do they change the helmets in the IDF one after another... i mean consecutively in every unit? And do the commandos use the same helmets as all other IDF Forces or do they also use IBH or similar ones?

Do the IDF commandos use AK's? I saw a picture of an IDF soldier using a AK, but i am sure he was commando... wearing the special Forces TAC VEST and a black face mask to cover the face...

sayeret should be using the new light ones.....but they wear whatever they get their hands on...and that isn't always the newest and best.

I didn't quite understand what you were asking about the helmets in your first sentence mate.
i've never seen a sayeret operator using anything else than a COLT made rifle, or an uzi. I do know that AK's are familiarized and fired during course samabim ( infantry sergeants course ).

you should pull the black gumi ( elastic ) down over the edges just a little so none of the helmet camo is showing and so the gumi holds the helmet tight and won't come off if you snag yourself on a branch.

I mean if a new helmet is coming out, do the IDF change the old helmets in one IDF group...then in another...and so on. But you already gave me the answer buddy. THX!

AK's: OK, but i know that other commando forces in the world like to use the AK in covered OP's.

Elastic Helm cover: Ok i'll put it down to cover the edges.

Hope that i can send you some pic's in 2 weeks from my whole equipment when i am coming back from a Airsoft Big Game...

You need to attach the strap to the top part of the weapon and not to the lower parts. Otherwise, when the weapon hangs on your shoulder it will flip over.

In addition, attach two magazines together and you might also want to cover the lower part.

    Back part:

    Front:

    Magazines

Most importantly, don't buy this stuff-do it yourself.

Yes, they have a MoD supplier number 83353653
Though that doesn't imply on the extent of their sales or the quality of their products (I haven't seen their items).
