Thread: Antisemitism in Norway - What?

Default Antisemitism in Norway - What?

The Jerusalem post is saying that Norway is one of the most antisemitic countries in the world. In an article they write that our financial minister led a march shouting "death to jews" even though they have been told that that is an outright lie.

I'm hearing all the time jews saysing that Norway is ver antisemitic, but can't find traces of it anywhere. Okay, one of our comedians made fun of jews, but he makes fun of everyone so it would have been more racist to not make fun of them.

I don't even know if I have ever seen a jew. Do they smell bad or something because I didn't even know one could tell if someone were a jew. I'm just sick and tired of listening to the complaining all the time.

NO we don't hate jews. Some may hate Israel and ther politics, but you can't win e'm all.

To be critical of Israels policy regarding the Palestinians, and to be an antisemite are two different things. The biggest problem in the public debate is that any critizism of the sovereign state Israel, is construed as antisemitical.

Question, was it a news story or an editorial piece?

It was a news story. The JP states that it still thinks the article was correct (in an interview with the norwegian newspaper Aftenposten)

This is a pisture of the article:

The blonde woman to the right is the Minister of Finance, Kristin Halvorsen, who is also the leader of the far-left party SV. She attended a demonstration against the Israeli military operations in Gaza this winter, wich is where the picture was taken.
