Well... those are not secret... it's just that there is NO intension of building such a weapon... Is true that in the 80's there was such a programme but as far as I know in 89 was cancelled... At this moment there are 2 facilities that produce fuels for nuclear powerplants in Romania. One is at Drobeta Turnu-Severin which produces heavy water and the other one is at Pitesti, which produces natural uranium oxide (producing Candu fuel - used by Cernavoda nuclear plants)... Plus, Romania is a member of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and as such, it is very likely that no development of nuclear bomb will be done in the future.

in the Romanian army is a tradition to give names to autoblindate(Armored)after WW2 .
at least in the period 1919 to 1936. Each tank or autoblindat Romanian was written with white paint, a name that represents the place where a battle took place in the history of famous Romanian: Tisa , Marasesti, Rasboieni,or the name of a devastating weather phenomenon: storm, lightning, Flash etc.

Romania actually had a military nuclear program... there was enough material for at least a bomb...
Thanks a lot for the pics!!! Almost all of them were new to me and for some of the vehicles presented I never knew existed
If I may ask, do you have some info about those white US trucks? I assume they were not from the communist period.
I look forward to see more pics from you.![]()
It's indeed a MLI-84, but the MLVM is a totally different vehicle, also Romanian. The MLI-84 is basically a modified BMP-1, slightly bigger and with a DShK-M machine gun in the left rear corner.
That's the ABAL ammunition carrier variant of the MLVM.
VT-55A recovery tank, made in Slovakia.
The correct designator for the basic vehicle is TABC-79 (Transportorul Amfibiu Blindat de pentru Cercetare). This is the 2-axled variant of the TAB-77, the Romanian licence version of the BTR-70.
