thanks Swift, im using polymer magazines for diemaco, so i thinks they will fit fineits a cheap rig with lots of good carying capacity. (also liked the pic for ya!)
Thanks Dirty Dutch, yeah STANAG mags are grand in it.
Here's a clearer pic of me in mine...
I tend to do away with the front pouches if I don't need them, otherwise they're a bitch to wear in the ****e position.

Ι put G3 mags in mine. Up to 6. It can take all 8 of them but that makes extraction difficult at the 2 and 7 positions
if i choose to go and use front pockets on the rig, it most certainly will be open top pouches with bungee straps, same as used on the rig itself, further a radio pouch on it and 2 utility pouches on the sides, wit a PRR on the middle chest pocket.
'llo all. Thinking about the vest below. Any experience with it?

I here good things about it. Good fit allot of molle space and, good retention durable. Have you youtubed it?
I ran the older version without the bib for a couple of years. Overall, great rig; good mix between capacity and bulk. The only thing I didn't like was needing somebody to buckle me up; the side buckles can be kind of a pain in the **** to get to in a hurry.
I'm also not a fan of fixed hydration pouches, but that's just me and I can't fault the rig for that.
^Likewise. Any molle/attached kit on the back I cant access or get to or off quickly im not too fond of. I dont understand why one would anyway.
I run a couple of DD pouches and a few mag pouches on my back but they are for the next dude in the stack, not me.
Yea that I do as well. But I mean like full blown Packs and "Med" kits tool kits hydration packs. I run an actual backpack/hydration for any mission specifics and a nutruck for my IFAK ,SERE kit and, other ADMIN
All the time, or black side only?
Seems like a pain in the ass for boonie bashing
If all I did was ride to a target, do the hit, and ride out, I could live with a fixed hydration bladder. However, I do a mix of mounted and dismounted patrolling, quite often with an assault pack or ruck.
I bounce my camelback bladder back and forth between my ruck and pack, and keep a liter nalgene on my rig.
I have a question for you guys. I have never served in the military, so all of this gear is a bit complicated. Seems like if you put on plate carriers with plates, combat vests, backpacks, combat belts with suspenders, thigh rigs, hydration bladders etc, how the hell are you able to even move? That's before putting on boots, helmet and carrying a weapon. How do you decide which gear to strap on, I mean, you can't wear all of that at the same time, can you?
Generally you have with you what you need, at the end of the day, the blokes that have all of that on are trained to carry it, both mentally and physically.
