    Hey Echo1,

sorry that I couldn't send you pictures sooner .. just found my cable from my camera again..
I'll put a small review of the Pantac pack here tomorrow ( working the nightshift does not help )

I also had a Karrimor SF sabre 30, good pack.. but I didn't like the fact that it only is one main compartment with 1 small
zippered top compartment. ofcourse good quality pack tough.

The Pantac TAB pack has 1 hydration carrier/laptop compartment - 1 large main compartment - 2 zippered up side compartments - 2 medium zippered up compartments up front, and the tactical guchi possibilty to strab your gun to your pack.
Handy for me as a M249 gunner at Natres.. we have to carry our diemaco's along aswell. (no glocks)

Yeah never thought of that point, digging for a small article on the bottom of the pack during tactical ops isn't very handy..
I would be happy if you could post the review of the pantac!

And you need to carry a Minimi and a C7... thats not a nice job but on the other hand you can do some "stiekem sterk worden" :P

I'll ask here in hope of an answer.

Does anybody know how to attach an Eagle Industries day pack on the TAC vest?
I believe Blackhawk has similar conficuration.

I don't have any photos but the product is not produced anymore. It was a simple day pack with removable shoulder straps and there was the option of attaching it directly on the back of the TAC-1-V vests.

    Anyway, thank for any replies

Dont do it, It makes you twice as heavy when your a casualty.
if you need to get dragged out, the bloke carrying you is going to want to take you back to the MERT,
Not you + a radio, water, ammo, batteries, scoff, sleeping system etc.

Anyone had any experience with using one of these on their ALICE or similiar external frame packs?

I have one of those with a SpecOps Brand Recon Ruck. Using a MOLLE waistbelt and the ruck's shoulder straps. It works great, barely contacts your body, and hasn't had an issues on the hikes I've taken it on yet. Only downside is the price compared to GenIV MOLLE frames.

Hey guys just after some advice.

Well my super old Lowe Alpine 45L pack finally died before my last 3day hike. I was stuck for a pack (money and short notice) so long story short borrowed a mate of mines SORD pack (kinda like this one http://www.sasequip.com/shopexd.asp?id=25&bc=no).

Ive never used a military pack like that before. It was pretty comfy and i reckon about par with most other good hiking packs with its allice frame etc.

But what really struck me was how much better it was to be able to 'live' on the outside of your pack, with all the pouches. Id allways been pissed off with spending time pulling everything out of a normal pack so all your stuff could get wet on the ground just so you could get that one thing that allways seemed to be at the very bottom, but i just thought that was the way everything happened so i just put up with it.

So does anyone know if any companies make civilian packs that have the pouches etc etc on the outside???
    Preferably around the 50-60L mark....
Im not looking to buy a millitary pack, got no need to look all airsoft.

    Cheers

Eagle Modular Assault Pack, or MAP.

You need to bring a friend to use it

Thank you Lasse. Have you used one before? I'm considering buying one, because i need a pack, and i like the look of this one. The price seems decent.

Nope I haven't used one, but since they often are attached to your back via the molle, you'd need a friend to be able to use it (get things in and out). I bet that there are tons of reviews if you just do a little search.
