Its amazing how the Cartels are that heavily armed, and that easily taken down by the Mexican Armed Forces.
I think its more due to the illegal arms trade than it is to how armed the Cartels are. I can look back on this thread and count the number of raids that turn up 30 rifles, grenade launchers, HMGs, ammo, etc( all from around the world mind you). And only a couple of perps to account for them all. Im sure some are used to arm themselves(as well as to turn them into tacky art), but the amount of arms being picked up is probably regarded as "product" by the Cartels

I have a question regarding the .50 bmg rifles. I have seen those in other pictures before. Are those to take out armored cars that have some protection against normal rifle calibers?
Even without special armor piercing rounds a .50 bmg can take out an armored car, at least the windows I think?
Are they using these in some kind of anti-tank rifle role instead of long range sniping?
