about camo - pattern is probably ripped off variation of UCP pattern refused by US Army in A-stan in favor of multicam.

Air Forces to Participate in Military Parade

Georgian Armed Forces are preparing for the Independence Day of Georgia. The next rehearsal will take place early in the morning on May 23. Ministry of Defence of Georgia held news-conference related to this issue. As Deputy Chief of Joint Staff of GAF Gigi Kalandadze reported to journalists, the Georgian Air Forces will also take part in the military parade along with other military units. “The rehearsal for the parade will start at 4:00 a.m. on May 23. I would like to highlight that the Georgian Air Forces will join the rehearsal at 6:00 a.m.” – stated Gigi Kalandadze.

The Commander-in-Chief of Georgia will review the military parade dedicated to the Georgian Independence Day which will be held on Rustaveli Avenue on May 26. Citizens of Georgia will be able to see the Georgian servicemen in new military uniforms and combat techniques of the Georgian Armed Forces.

Is the Airforce not intigrated in the Landforces?

.... yeah, they announced that .... but I think some of the officials are smoking grass.

    Georgian CT's seen in public.

I figured out that a team of 7 to 9 heavy armed guys constantly walk around him, while one squad of 8 to 12 clears the way, one squad of 8 secures the rear and one squad on each flank. Star with eight points So this formation seems to have a protection radius of some 50 meters and a perimeter patrol of up to 100 meters with vehicles close by.

-(*Considering that this was a harmless walk through a village.*)-

Remember the parliament storming in 2003, where Shevardnadze was escorted by Interior Ministry CT units armed and equipped to the teeth ? Noone even knew about their existence.

Found a website of the Georgian police under the GMIA.

I doubt the SPUs (If that's the name of the units mentioned) are mentioned in the structure.

They are part of the Counter Terrorism sections of the Central Main Task Division. Included in the list.

They are all part of the MIA, CT, border police, police, financial police, bomb defuse squads, armed patrol etc.

What a terrible waste of money this parade was, without any tracked vehicles it was just pointless, because we saw exactly the same parades two and three years ago. (well except for OSA systems)

Not with Georgian multicam, new rifles, Nurol Ejders, Humvees, camouflaged BTR-80s and new outfitted Special Operation Forces

IMO, the best of all since 2005.

I agree, but could have been way better, if they had rolled out some T-72s and BMPs, ZSUs would have been nice too.
