That flag was used since medieval times. I think, someone just had the idea to take it for his tank. Don't know but I guess there is an explenation for everything .... If you look carefully, you'll recognize old unit flags.

    Maybe it's a time traveller ? lol

Interesting though, that someone had that idea of taking that flag. Curiosity.

It surely is not, as known, Georgian armies used it allready during the medieval age so it wouldn't be new at all to that time .

    I like the new one .... :P

I like new flag too, but its just whenever i picture old flag, 1918-1921 years and Abkhazian war, Noe Jordania, Zviad Gamsaxurdia, National Movement comes to mind, it has a history to it. And whenever I picture new flag, all I see is Saakashvili and August of 2008, not the most attractive combination.
We should have had a referendum on that issue, but noo, our little dictator has to do whatever the hell he wants.

Agree, looking at the flag, I think a little bit of 2003-2011 a "person", but thanks to my history knowledge and huge interest, I can allways connect it more with Georgia's whole history ...... , so it's only 40% bad memories .... XD

The thing is if we had any pictures from the 12th century, I might have had a different associations with this flag, just because I know that we once had it 800 years ago, does not change the fact that I see Misha's face when I look at it. Its a simple technique of association, you know, e.g. how a dog was given food with a projector on, and then after a while, when they turned that projector on, dog started to drool, even when there was no food
