In terms of aereal and artillery equippment I agree. In terms of qualification we have one of the best and most flexible special forces around and comparing training and experience with both nation's equal formations, I can calmly say that our boys are absolutly dominating in this region. The infantry is better equipped and training is way more decent than it was before. I wouldn't abandom them just because of 2008. That's redicilous mate. 4 years have passed and they drew their lessons. The airpower of any of the smaller neighbours can be fought off succesfuly by the anti air capacities Georgia can expose. Georgia's sole problem right now besides having no ballistic missiles like the rest, is the still soviet style centralized command.
.... yeah sure, you showed us your credibility allready in a series of glorious moments since 1801. Please don't talk about this ....
Get rid of the **** in charge and countries may step forward with offers of better equipment. On a side note, I find it odd that America didn't offer used F-16s post 8-8-8 conflict. "For defence" of course...
Military is not the way to go actually. For anyone who still didn't get it. People do not understand that it does not matter what policy we take, the Russians won't abandom Georgia as their pure sphere of influence. In their policy, there is no independent and evolving Georgia. There is only the Slave-Georgia. While we struggle as hard as possible not to beome such, the Russians simply have us "under control" with these two unsettled regional conflicts. This is all politics and has nothing to do with humanitarian aid or all the other fantastic stories Putin minnions come up with each year. To make it worse, Russians got lucky to have Saakashvili ....
