Then again, the uniform displayed is for testing purposes only. They have yet to decide on how the uniform will look like e.g. what manufacturer will be chosen.

It does seem likely TenCate will supply the fabric.

They were still unsure if all the uniform will be made from the Defender fabric. It sadly has everything to do with budget..

Doesn't surprise me at all, voor een dubbeltje op de eerste rij.. (try to get the best as cheap as possible, but goes at the cost of quality)

Fitted the new boots two weeks ago, they are a bit narrower than the old ones and went up a size.

New socks to go with (black) too.

Yes, Meindls. One 'summer' pair and one 'winter' pair (difference is in the lining).

Of course after fitting them the only thing we got to keep were the socks, the boots will be sent to the unit in a few weeks time (they promised 3-5 weeks).

Will you be one of the first units to receive them?

Probably not, we were just there when the traveling KPU roadshow was in 't Harde (and made sure we were first in line).

    It does look very similar.

Is NZ also introducing a replacement for DPM?

You might want to get socks with highly padded heels. In the UK forces you gt a choice between Meindls and Lowes, of the guys who choose Meindls, a significant proportion have problems with their heels.
