Looks wicked!I've always thought that it kind of sucks that the AK5 didn't have a proper bayonet so this is awesome!

Strange, that just gotta be a new bayonet. Haven't seen the Home guard guys use it and I have not used on my AK5B
It is a new bayonet. The one in the picture is the ceremonial verison. The fighting version hasn´t been fielded yet as far as I know. Since the homeguard is still using the G3, we will still use the older bayonet. But I don´t know anyone who´s been issued one. I think if you want a bayonet, you have to buy one yourself, but they´re easy to come by.
090516-090523 a 10-man group from Kalmar Läns Insatskompani represented HV as "Team Sweden" during an international Home guard competition in Denmark.
Here are some pics:
HMS Neptun from the Näcken class submarine.
It was in service in the royal swedish navy 1980-2000 and was involved in the "wiskey in the rock" inccident in 1981. The submarine will be preserved and will be on display by 2012.
What will happen to its sisterships is today unknown, the lead ship (HMS Näcken) was in 2000 recommissed in the Danish navy with an new stirling enigne but was later returned to Sweden when Denmark scrapped its submarine programe.

"Swedish conscripts from Livgardet won both first and third prize in the international marksman competition at Germany's Infantry School in Hammelburg were 19 international teams competed.
The conscripts say they were surprised of the results since the opponents were longterm professional soldiers, among them American soldiers who had served in Iraq. They competition was also carried out using the German weapon H&K G36, a weapon they had no previous experience with."
Congrats!

Indeed we are, I can guarantee that there is no beer drinking going on at our exercises anyway. Sure, we need to drill alot more as a fighting unit, but that will come eventually. Insats howevert is having their sh*t together, not bad since it's all based on free will and not mandatory, apart from the 60 hrs a year that is.
