I'm just going to add that there are over 10 applicants for every position, so the competition is tough!

The next application period for Afghanistan(FS20) should be in October-November. You can apply for everything. If you define CV90 as a tank you can be a tank-driver. But you should try to apply for something that you have previous military experience of from when you were a conscript(I assume you have been a conscript).

Think he is talking about conscription. Service with förarbevis on Galten or any of the other vehicles. I heard last time there were 10 000 applications for about 400 positions.

Thanks for the answers. I wasn't even called for mönstring, but my friend who isn't interested at all is now in the military (lumpen)... I think it would be better if the people who didn't want to go didn't have to, so that others that actually want to go could get the chance.
Anyway, here are some new Afghanistan pics:
And yes, I decided to PERSEC the pics even though some can be found without the censoring, these pics are pretty new so the guys are probably still in Afghanistan, so I think the PERSEC is in order.
That is some seriously nice pics 1911-a1 !
Keep it up !
This has to do with the fact that the army want diversity, and the best way to that is to take from both sides.
I know of people not wanting to do their conscription at all ending up as Officers, the whole thing is, if you only would take the ones that want to go there you might miss out on those who is really suited for the job that maybe don't want to do it if they at first had a choice. That is one of the dangers of removing the mandatory military service, but then again there are many advantages of an professional army as well.
have someone maybe more pictures from Kosovo ??
According to the text the soldiers in the photo are Swedish and Finnish.. Rifle doesnt look finnish though

1911-a1> The single best way to get a ticket abroad is to know the recruiting officers. Your chances are much higher if it´s your own regiment that is responsible for the battlegroup or mission, since they have personal experience with your performance.
Regarding the assignments needed in, for example, Afghanistan.
As stated earlier, look at the application charts to see all wanted assignments. However in general, drivers license for RG32 or PATGB203 is a big plus as well as medical experience, civilian and military.
To summarize: Learn to shot all weaponsystems, learn to drive all vehicles, be mental and physically invincible, be a civilian trauma nurse with real life experience, know how to fix all vehicles as well as refrigerators and know and be respected by all officers - You will have no problems finding a slot in Afghanistan or anywhere, I promise!![]()
