    Default Candidate for 2010

A candidate for Senate in KY in 2010 needs some help.
Dr. Rand Paul, son of Congressmen and former presidential candidate Ron Paul has formed an exploratory committee, and is having a "money bomb" on Monday, the 29th, so he can reach 100,000 before the end of the quarter (July 1).

for more information on his stances check out www.randpaul2010.com

If you support his views, and have a few extra bucks in your pocket, seriously consider donating $10 or $20 to the campaign.

An excerpt of his position on 2nd Amendment

Politicians often give lip service to the 2nd Amendment but then go off to Washington and vote to restrict gun ownership.

How many politicians professed to support Gun rights and then voted for the Brady bill? How many politicians claim they are supporters of the 2nd amendment and then vote to restrict handguns?

We need to send people to Washington that not only understand the 2nd amendment but the entire Bill of Rights. How many supposedly pro-Gun politicians supported the McCain-Feingold Act, which makes it illegal for gun rights groups to buy advertising criticizing a federal legislator for voting for gun control? Apparently, these fair-weather friends don't believe the 1st amendment applies to paid political speech.

How many supposed pro-gun politicians voted for the Patriot Act which gives the government the right to search your home without a warrant, when you're not home, leave listening devices, and use any and all information to create a prosecution on any charge regardless of their original reason for the search?

Gun rights advocates need to know that the 2nd amendment is only as good as the fourth amendment. If we are not free from unreasonable and warrantless searches, no one's guns are safe

If he's like his father, his good ideas will be lost in a lake of nutter ideas, and drowned in a sea of even nuttier supporters.

Based on his website, in the Issues section, he does not seem like a nut like his father. If decided to run for President 2012 on the same platform in his website I would consider voting for him. If he was running for Senate in my state on that platform stated in his website, I would vote for him in 2010.
