Great man. Lets make this as the official picture thread of the Philipines Armed Forces.

Welcome!
The Armed Forces of the Philippines is one of the most experienced COIN forces in the world today. It is currently fighting communist insurgents New Peoples Army (NPA), Muslim secessionists Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF), remnants of the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF), the Al-Qaeda linked Abu Sayaff and several bands of bandits, pirates, armed"businessmen/politicians", clansmen & cattle robbers in between.Though lacking in material modernity, it boasts some elite forces such as the Scout Rangers, the Army Special Forces, the Phil.Marine Corps Force Recon,Naval Special Warfare Group and the new U.S. trained Light Reaction Battalion, (formenly Light Reaction Company). The AFP since its inception has been constantly engaged against these irregular forces. It has also sent units abroad during the Korean & Vietnam Wars and also in Africa. It is an active participant in UN Peacekeeping Operations in countries like, Liberia,Timor Leste, Cambodia, etc.The AFP also have the prestigious Philippine Military Academy.
Please feel free to post pics and comments for the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

I stopped posting photos of our soldiers because whenever I look at it. Some of them are probably dead by now. But what better way to honor them on the net. Besides - there's many photos of our armed forces scattered around this site.
We probably have the highest mortality rate for a "peace-time" armed forces.
They're bad-ass though.

Philippine Scout Rangers
Nobody ever graduates in this unit until their first combat encounter. When I was in grade school, they used to patrol near my school during those bad times of the commie-tard days. The one thing I admire the most is that they seem to go into the jungle without much kit except water, guns and ammo. Then come back carrying even less after a week. Makes you wonder what they eat.
Look at the size of the American below. Great big target.
I don't know which unit this is. Judging from the shot gun and MP5, it's police-paramilitary (SAF - Special Action Force) of the Philippine National Police. Both they and the Scout Rangers use a variety of weapons besides the ubiquitous M16A1/2 family.
