perectly suited. hmmm. Heavy weapon. heavy round. you ever use a M14? it is NOT a CQB weapon. Also, you are engaging something at 400 yards with a Eotech? no. you can hope to suppress but a DMR, will not have your idiotic notion M14. he will have a full length M14 in a Sage stock, with a normal power optic.

I happen to be a proud owner of a springfield socom 2. And buddy, why do you think they would ever even make a mod for the m14 to shorten the chasis and barrel? You think they did that to make a DMR? yah...sure

im not sayin thats cqb im sayin you have a rifle that handle the cqb situations perfectly, and still have the punch to take the 400+ targets down with ease

I think the problem BJ has with you is you're implying that the whole team have should have EBRs. Which is indeed retarded. You claim to own an M14 variant. Try shooting it on the move, swing it 90 degrees, shoot and swing it more. Try to simulate a room entry with an M14 without any concussion inducing brake.

Im not saying hes a DMR...Hes using a shortned m14 with an eotech. Say he has a magnifier with that eotech...then what?

I know the 7.62 isnt a round for room clearing and was a bad example for my point.

Just saying...you have an m14 with a telescoping stock, shortned barrel, vert grip, and a red dot or holo sight...you can do far more with it than only a DMR.

If 7.62 isn't the round for room-clearing, then its obviously a poor choice for CQB, as CQB is mostly room-clearing. The m14 is one of the most overrated guns by people who have no clue what they are talking about.

You're hitting a brick wall with your argument every time and I suggest you just give up.

Wait isn't the Mk14 Mod 0 EBR a light weight version of the M14? or am I mistaken? Note: I'm not trying to get into the middle of this argument. Although I do think BJ needs to freaking calm down a bit...that or drink less coffee

The EBR weighs roughly the same amount as the normal m14, about 11-13lbs. Thats without bipod, optics, torch, peq, etc.

^ ok, so that aluminum receiver was more to aid the use of a RIS system and make it easier to manufacture a retractable stock? maybe?

It's a freaking rifle, just leave it at that. Who the hell cares what it was designed better for or what the rails mean or what it's made of. They made it to shoot people. Hell, they didn't even have any kind of rail attachments or retracable stocks when it was designed.

*Not aimed at BJ or Troub*

i completely disagree with everything you said. you are dumb. *

How about this scenario, you are clearing a room, and out of nowhere, T72!! OMG, i want a Javalin, there for, the javelin is the best CQB weapon. that was his argument.
