1. We are useing Polish version of AMV Patria so you should call it KTO Rosomak. AFAIK is best think what Polish soldiers have in patrol. For some destroyed KTO Rosomak only one Polish soldier were killed. Now next 7 sent to Afganistan are armed by LASSO slat armor, if it will work all Rosomak's will have it so armor will be better.
2. We are useing RPG on patrols. Only asshole can leave RPG in base when he is going to patrol![]()

Thanks Peter.pl - I just rarely can see pictures of our soldiers in Afghanistan actually carrying RPG's, so it just made me wonder if some "bright" officer in country discourage usage of RPG to "limit posibbility of colateral damage" etc.2. Soldiers love them... but you really can't imagine amount of s*** media and politicians throw at them prior to deployment in Afghanistan. There is ongoing investigation about "Rosomak being dangerous to soldiers".Very nice to hear. I would certainly like to see my U.S. Marines replace our older LAVs with it.![]()

Polish army has bought some amount of non-polish helmets(I dont recall the name) for Rosomak crews. So, the helmet visible on above pic is not necessarry a private purchase.Originally Posted by zapatero
You might be right. Thx for info about helmet name.
Thx for the clarification guys. So, we're still waiting for a proper tanker helmet...
This is not news concerned with Polish military directly but some Polish names in sad news from Helman Province.
