I have had a very busy two weeks at work with end of school year concerts, etc. so a big thank you to CJ and others for all the updates. Things are happening quickly now and I continue to be impressed by the UK shipyards' ability to deliver all these sections on schedule. Forum members and other interested watchers could perhaps be forgiven for underestimating the immense technical requirements of these various barge moves due to their apparent success, but it is obvious that a lot of hard work has gone into the preparations, so hats off to all involved.

It was also good to see our first ground level pics of the forward island. I see that it has yet to receive any paint.

I look forward to photographs of the float off, float out and float ins.

I know she's not moved an inch and the CB02 units are still on the barge, I wonder how long it takes to flood the dry dock...

It will prolly take a while just to limit damage.

I would imagine they will want these units in the water for as short a time as possible, so you would think they would do it all in one day.

Yeah you would think that but they left CB03 tied up to the dockside for 3 days after she was floated off, the tide must be dictating the order of events here Jdam.

have you tried going across to the queensferry hotel car park, I bet you could get cracking shots from there today as you can get a side on view of the dockyard
