Excellent pictures! She's going to look a lot different when the tenting comes off and she's had her deck coated.

Nice pics, really looks like they are wasting no time with the POW, looks like the sponson for the Phalanx has been install and parts of the catwalks are getting ready to go on as well.

Whats with all the tenting around the port side deck area? Seem a bit OTT for just painting etc and has been there ages. They must be taking a lot of care over the Flyco windows - same there too.

Looking at the chop on the water (inside the basin!) and the fact winter gets a bit chilly, having that "wall" of protection is a good idea. There must also be a huge storage area created underneath as well.

Looking at the update page, it appears as if lessons haven't been learnt fully from QE. The lost time issues are still similar with regards to stores logistics aboard, and toilets.

Just a guess, but if they're wiring up the flight deck lighting and landing aid systems, it would need to be done in a dry environment under a cover?

The productivity has not been stated as compared to similar sized ships ,man hours per ton for example , and if the curing or drying of paint application is determined by temperature ,are workplace ergonomics' also a factor

Yes and cat and trap mind you using C-13 steam powered cats as the Americans have cancelled the EMALS because they can't get it to work to a satisfactory level. Ford Class carrier is expected back into the dry dock to retrofit the C-13-2 cats
