I said Indian frigrates made sauce of portugese frigrate, it means that Indian frigrates sank the portugese frigrate. I was refering to Operation Chutney. Chutney (Hindi) means Sauce (English).

Of course Goa is ours. Look at the history of Goa. Portugal had forcebly occupied Goa for a long time. Now India is free we have reclaimed what is rightfully ours. Btw by your arguement Brazil should also be under Portugal since similar festivities are also celebrated there?

If you have problem understanding something you should ask and clarify first before posting your outburst. I suppose I have clarified myself already.

Brazil had a different path towards independence.

When the the French forces threatened Portugal in 1808, the Portugese royal family set up its court in Rio de Janiero, Brasil. Thus governing the Portugese Empire from Brasil. Brasil became a co-equal to Portugal.

In a nutshell, during thier stay in Brazil, they became Brazilians, especially the prince Dom Pedro. When Joćo VI returned to Portugal, his son Dom Pedro stayed behind as regent of Brasil.

When Portugal started to take away Brasilian privilages, Dom Pedro decalred independence and became Emperor of Brasil.

    ^^ Nice info !

BTW.. It was different about Goa as Vaman mentioned " Portugal had forcebly occupied Goa for a long time( 400 years) " And because of that many tradition and culture were inherited by Goa`s people and these festivals are exotic, rare and very beautiful !!

PS: I’m going to get kick by the Portuguese in the MP that vote on him for Mayor of Lisbon (Portugal capital city).

Many habitants from Goa fled to Mozambique after 1961, and some then to Portugal after 1974
