Nice pics of Nigerian AF Hinds and Jaguars. A shame the Jags are no longer in service. Any pics of the F-7s that Nigeria bought from China last year ?
I think there was a mix up there. We definitely don't use the C-160, but the G-222/C-27.

Portugal also bought 12 N-2501s. Used French and German aircraft were bought by Niger (4), Nigeria (6), Chad (10), and Greece (40). Some N-2501s remained in civilian service into the 1990s.
    * Some other variants of the Noratlas were proposed or built in small numbers
Noratlas not C160 , the pics of AMX30`s are of the french ones , the Panhard AML is from an other country ,Urutu and Cascavel are some Brazilian ones and so on . If you want to make an good impression try to use true facts , pictures and information next time .
    Good luck .

They have a very interesting use of camo netting. It's interesting how they use it on their helmets, kind of like Israeli miznefets (the bag things). Also putting it on their legs too, never seen an army using it in that way before.

I wonder how they determine which parts of the army get the G3's and which get the AK's

Well, our standard issue rifle has always been the FN-FAL/NR-1 rifle. Like the FN-FAL, we also produce the G-3 rifle (under license of course), `though it's been used mostly within the training institutions (the academy, army depot, infantry center, etc), the police force, and other law enforcement agencies like Customs. The introduction of the AK-47 has been a bit more recent compared to the previously mentioned rifles.

With regards to the pics of the Panhard AML, Urutu and Cascavel, of course the pics you see are not those owned by Nigeria, but they were just being used to represent what what we have in our arsenal.

No dude, you can't pan the whole thread because you saw few inconsistencies. Quote the wrong photos and show evidence as to why they are wrong and quit bad-mouthing the whole thread like the poster had intentionally misrepresented photos.

How do I know that everything you claiming is correct when post no links to verify your claims. for example, in one of your claim you said an equipment belongs to "another" country. Thats not very convincing when you don't even know the name of the country that supposedly owns the equipment.

You conveniently end your accusative post with the phrase "and so on" as if to say that pretty much all the photos are misrepresentations.
Please, if you don't like the thread, go look somewhere else.

He opened a thread in Strictly Photos & Video called Nigerian Armed Forces and I want to see some Nigerian military , not some French Transall , brazilian Urutu and Cascavel , Morocan AML , etc . I don`t think that`s the right policy here . If it will be so then in the US Army thread should we see pictures of French Panther/Dauphin , belgian FN machine guns, british Harriers and so on?
    I don`t think so .

No dude you can`t open a thread full of inconsistencies .
How do I know that everything he`s claiming is correct when he post no links to verify his claims. For example, he claimed that Nigeria have C160 , and from the link that he gave I showed to you that he is wrong . In the link it`s about some Noratlas not Transal , but you don`t see it .If most of the armchair generals can`t distinguish betveen an AMX30B2 and an AMX30B2 Brennus wich is used only by the french why the hel are they talking at?And so on .

Sometimes he is not even able to copy paste correct because he want to look important and that he have knowledge and we don`t and I will show you why .

    Nigerian Mi24P not Mi35P .

    French AF C160 , Source: http://www.airliners.net/photo/Franc...934b7059f06564

I may continue like this for every single picture but instead i will give you his source . He simply copied and pasted what other dumb heads trying to look informed posted on others forums . Look here http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showth...=676834&page=6 on page 6 and you will see all his pictures from the current thread .
After he was revealed as a troll trying to convince us that Israel don`t need to be worried about Iran , but the israeli are the real threat to us http://www.militaryphotos.net/forums...d.php?t=165298 he tried to clear his face with the Nigerian Scam . Right now he is an expert in russian problems http://www.militaryphotos.net/forums...d.php?t=165241. I think we are looking at the new Einstein , first an Middle East expert , then african one and now an russian specialist.

So Kilimunati1 why don`t you go to look somewhere else if you`re so dumb and you can`t sniff a poser and you think that I was rude with the little boy . Will you?

Look like you are soo dumb you lack simple communication skills. I don't know the dude...this was never about him...he wasn't the only person that posted on the thread...and not all his photos are compromised. Looks like you had a beef with him and decided to take it out on the thread....smart arse!

Danielotu is not the single nigerian on this thread . Period . I said that this thread is a fraud and I gave the proves but you don`t like them . Danielotu did not gave an explanation for mishaps cause he did not knew the sources for the pictures . The same source where british Scorpion is presented as nigerian one , Czech T72M as nigerian ones , Ukrainian BTR as nigerian ones , russian MT-LB as nigerian ones , french Trasnsal as nigerian ones , etc and some of them not even exist in Nigerian arsenal . I say that his assertion are a fraud and all you can say is that I have something with the poor guy .
If some of the information that are presented in this thread are exposed as lies with external sources why can`t you talk on topic instead atacking me ?
Can you prove that his assertion are real and all I said is a lie?
Grow up , learn to talk and learn to sustain an point of wiev .

Ok......this thread is turning a bit nasty.

@ greatza1, first of all I was NOT the one that posted those pics of the Urutu, Cascavel, T-72, etc. You can confirm that from previous posts made by me on this thread. That said, I believe I already explained why Cataphract_Persia may have posted those pics. Once again, those vehicles in those pics are definitely NOT Nigerian, but they represent what we have in our arsenal.

Is the Vickers Mk 3 tank still in service with the Nigerian Army? And if so, does anyone have photos of it?

And else: Calm down guys, especially greatza1. Isn't there anything more important than to rant about a couple of wrong pics posted with good intentions?

    Agreed. ^

DanielOtu: Are there any hopes/ plans/ rumours of modernization or even standardization of equipment for the Nigerian Army? I'm sure it isn't easy to have 3 different assault rifles for the army at the same time.
