    Default Fnp-40

Anyone else carrying the FNP-40 ? It's relatively new, I like it a lot. Made in USA by FNH USA. Factory is in South Carolina I believe. There is no aftermarket built up around it though so it's OEM only for magazines, etc.

Not the 40, but I'll be buying the FNP-9 in the next couple days. After shooting my friends weapon, I just had to have one of my own. Much nicer than my Glock 19

Did you get the decock version? After being issued the P226 I got used to it so looked for it in a new pistol. I didn't have Sig coin, and wanted to buy US if possible. Not a common feature in the civ market. Ruger had it in there P40 but it was a bear actually finding one so in that search came across the FN. What a find.

I like the 40 better but am not one to rant about the 9mm. If you are down to relying on a pistol you have made several mistakes, according to an old instructor. I had about 11 different calibre amongst my firearms. I got it down to 5. Just to simplify my life the 40 allowed me to sell off my 45 & 9mm.

I am no longer in harms way, outside of when I get my tax bill, can I ask are you carrying the FNP-9 professionally?

Never liked Glocks. Just never felt right is all, strictly some interface issue on my part. Sig Sauer yes! But I have more Chevrolet funding than Porsche. FNP nice compromise.

I do not own the FNP-9 yet, but yes I want the model with the decock function. As far as carrying it professionally, no I do not. However I hope that they switch to it rather soon but I do not see that happening. I'd love it if we switch over on the military side too, that way I'm not carrying 3 different pistols depending on the day (personal, work, or military).

I chose the 9mm version for simplicity in ammo logistics. I already have a 9mm and the S&W M&P .45, so I'm trying to keep my sidearms in the same caliber. This way I can bulk order and save money in the long run.

Yeah I've shot a few Sig's but like you said, money is an issue lol.

I've been waiting and waiting for the FNP-45 USG with the red dot sight.

Cool Walkerny, if I may ask......................

Walkerny, if I may ask how are you carrying your FNP-40 professionally? i.e. are you Law enforcement or military?

I always wonder where our pistols end up. I see your profile states your in New York.

It's true all FNP series pistols are made from materials & parts made 100% here in America by Americans. There all built here in Columbia South Carolina by FNM for FNH U.S.A. my employer.

Judging by all the overtime were experiencing, the public is really digging our pistol products.

For instance, another shooter & I shot/qualified 202 FNP-45's today with ZERO failures. My vanity card (a small cardboard backer I put behind the paper targets as were shooting the accuracy portion of the qualification) Had a 2 1/2 inch hole @ my point of aim @ 50 feet at the end of the day. I'M NOT COMPLAINING! Because that makes for an easy day.

Thank you & or your Department for the business!
(TERRIBLE PUN, but here goo's) "WE AIM TO PLEASE!"

In your pistol box should be a small manila envelope with a spent pistol casing in it, please tell me who's name is on it. If it says Brian Barrus.............

    He is me, SGMGSG9 B)

I really like the FNP series. My biggest (really only) complaint is how high the bore sits relative to the fulcrum between your thumb and index finger. I've always preferred a lower bore axis. Other than that, it's a fine pistol, and the price is hard to beat.
