How are you going to look down the sights of your rifle with that face mask on?
Welcome to HALO.
http://militarytimes.com/blogs/gears...tem/#more-3042Revision MPAS – Modular Protection Attachment System
Revision’s Modular Protection Attachment System is a three part system that adds considerable protection to the face without compromising standard military accessory integration or adding huge amounts of weight.
The first element of the system is the halo. It attaches to a standard ACH and adds a milspec, low profile NVG mount, side rails (developed with OpsCore) and a rear mounted anchor point for the mandible shroud. The halo weighs about 75g, that’s 15 grams more than a current NVG mount.
The second part is the dual hinged eye shield that drops down and protects the eyes and upper face. The dual hinge keeps the visor from sticking straight out when not in use. It also locks in two positions, one that allows air to escape through the top and a second, tightly sealed position.
The third and final part of the system is one of three mandible guards. Revision offers a titanium wire mask for crowd control situations, and two ballistic versions with more or less cheek coverage that let the user choose between protection or weight. The ballistic mandible guard is rated the same or better than the ballistic rating for the ACH. No word on price, yet. Revision is looking to release the MPAS next year.

Obviously you can draw parallels to the dutch modular helmet but the difference is you can do this today. And I think it would help a lot with overall protection, although I'm sure it is hot as hell. Also wondering if the system would work better with an OpsCore helmet even though it is designed for an ACH so that we can use it today.

That's what optics are for.
I want. In MC. EndWar US Ghost Riflemen anybody?
Won't be too long before US troops look something like this:

Mike Like.
In certain environments. On certain operations.
If this helmet is in Transformers 3 in MC...Im going to kill airsofters.
Clean, modular design that looks sleek and effective.
I like.
and the gas mask option?
I can see that thing fogging like a b**** on crack
Would be good for gunners. If I was on a .50 again, I'd use this mofo, and who needs to look down the gun, that's what tracers are for!![]()
just in time...I'm looking for a new football helmet
seriously, are these just aftermarket accessories or are they being officially issued?
