Yeah it was...I had no idea where they got their ideas for that one....but it did remind me of this:

However she looks nice if you're looking down on her, but any other angle and I'm wondering how they thought she would even fly...aerodynamics look like crap.

Does anyone have any info regarding the reason the XC-142 program did not go ahead ?? Given the requirements for cargo carriers in Vietnam, and now Afghanistan, with rough or no field requirements, one wonders what might have transpired had it been followed thru. Just curious that's all. Cheers guys.

Apparently the testing did not go completely as planned with a few mishaps mostly due to vibration, engines giving out less power than planned, and pilot error. In the end though, these were things that could probably have been ironed out seeing the program was still very young. As usual... politics, funding and the like killed it off

    Default X-4

The XB-70 and the X-15 seem like something straight out of a sci-fi movie. Amazing.

We need to continue fighting the Soviets in Afghanistan like we did back in the 1990's.

    And subscribed again.

The X-29 kinda reminds me of a Klingon Bird of Prey from Star Trek. It's the wings. Same with the Su-47.

Most of these aircraft can be seen at the USAF museum in Dayton, Ohio. If you love this thread or unique aircraft you should definitely go check it out, and it's free!
