Actually we had a Very good talks about Striker APC and morden weapons which US soldiers( 14th Cavalry Regiment "Strykehorse," 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, from Schofield Barracks, Hawaii) brought with them!

Btw, I had no knowledge about the structure of US forces, I just know the are American soldiers!

Sounds like a good experience, Kunal Biswas. When I served, I always enjoyed training with soldiers and marines from other countries.

Indeed, I remember having a Aussie coyote at Mojave Viper, coolest guy I've ever met.

Exactly everything they give us is the cheapest gear they can get their hands on. Thus alot of people buy their own stuff. I just bought gloves because my black leather gloves are just crap unless im dealing with c-wire. But whenever inspection time comes up you need to have the exact CIF issue gear.

Not very often with my unit, I had the Master Sergeant go through all our stuff in december right before going on leave. Apparently there is another big one coming up soon. The word was if you are missing gear then you're getting paperwork for it... page 11s i think. I need to buy ****ing black eyepro.

With the Grunts, it can be whenever. But it always stars with someone with higher rank then you. It can be the Company CO, 1stSgt, Platoon Commander, Platoon Sergeant, Squad Leader, Fire-team Leader. Back in 2004, I remember seeing a buddy of mine (another Plt.Sgt.) have his Marines fall out at 0300 in front of the barracks for a gear inspection. $hit that could happen will happen in the Grunts.
