Naked feets. it seems no scorpions and snakes live in Afghanistan. Some one should tell him they like hot fleshes.

An AV-8B Harrier from Marine Attack Training Squadron 203 fires flares during a training flight July 27, 2010. The flares are meant to misguide any heat-seeking ordnance fired at the aircraft. VMAT-203, which is the lone Harrier pilot training squadron in the Corps and based in Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C., brings its distinctive two-seated Harriers and students to the Marine Corps Air Station in Yuma, Ariz., several times a year to take advantage of the vast range and availability. Are you sure you want to be second guessing one of my Marines who has "Been There Done That"!? I am all ears on the knowledge, experience you have to offer to that OIF Vet (Keeper0311). I suggest you tread lightly in our Marine house!

Might be a dumb questions, but why do the marines field a different helmet than the army? (it is different right?) Doesn't that just complicate production, logistic, costs etc?

I am not a marine nor do i play one on TV, but from what I understand they had some trials and the marines preferred the LWH over the ACH because they felt more protected by it...I have one and also an ACH, and I tend to agree with that...IMHO the LWH is a better choice but then again, I am just an armchair commando, I am sure some of the real marines here will chime in. In any case, the marines have gone back to using their own gear which is different from the army gear...not just a different helmet.
