    Default Marines Patrol In Fallujah Iraq 2007

    U.S. Marines of the 2nd battalion, 7th Marines during a security patrol May 12, 2007 in the area known as Zaidon in the Al Anbar province near Fallujah, Iraq. The Marines are part of the United States military effort to control the ongoing violence in Iraq

    Default 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit Marines, Certified for Ship Boarding

    Marines from the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, on the USS Fort McHenry during a Board, Search and Seizure exercise, June 9. The 22nd MEU was certified to conduct VBSS during the training mission and has added the capability to the MEU's already robust multi-mission arsenal. The 22nd MEU, embarked aboard the ships of the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group, is currently serving as the theatre reserve force for U.S. European Command.

    In June this year found some more photos at NAVSOURCE of "Operation Frequent Wind" aboard the USS Hanco*k CVA-19 on 29/30 April 1975.



    The sailor in the lower right of the photo with a red jersey and helmet^^ on is me..Popeye












    29 April 1975. USMC helos deployed on board the USS Hanco*k CVA-19 during Operation Frequent Wind The evacuation of Saigon. Also deployed on Hanna was the 1st Battalion, 9th Marines.

    Magnificent pics of fightin Marines!

    @ Big Daddy. Thank you very much from the bottom of my heart for those WW2 pics of "Negro" Marines. Its a shame their story have been hidden from us all these years... a damn friggin shame. Its the first Ive been seeing those pics in my entire life. Too bad you didnt find the pic of your Father Big Daddy, may God bless his soul. Thanks again big brother.

    Great Pics, I May Be British, But I've Always Had The Upmost Respect For The USMC, And Known If I Was Born In The US I Would Have Joined The Corps, Brilliant Thread Keep It Going!.
