Default Need help I.D.'ing camo shirt. Maybe Portugese??

Picked up this shirt a couple days ago and can't figure out what it is. Can anyone help?? It looks like the Portuguese camo but I never seen this type of shirt w/o collars and with padded elbows. Could it be a a special para version or special made? I'd really appreciate some help. I've looked all over but can't find a thing.

You are right, this one is unusual. I have a Portuguese shirt in my collection, and the pattern is very similar if not identical.

Mine has a traditional collar though and does not the padded elbows and shoulders.

We need an expert to confirm this one as I've never seen this style before.

The camo pattern, vertical lizzard, is Portuguese. The padding, however, keeps me thinking of Mozambique. I am not sure, though.

Definitely Portuguese. This type of camo pattern was definitely used in Angola, and I have a shirt and poncho/groundsheet from there. It is quite likely that this pattern was also used in Mozambique when it was still a Portuguese colony.

Sure, here is a photo. Sorry for the small size.

The quality of this item is great although quite heavy. It is 30 somewhat years old. The eyes are a bit rusty but the rubberized layer shows no signs of deterioration. Flat it is 4 X 6' with the hood in the middle.

It looks like a fairly standard Portuguese field jacket (or "Dolman") that someone has removed the lower pockets from. I have one almost exactly like it with padded elbows, shoulders, and button attachable hood. They were used from the 1960s to 1990s so there are many variations. The Portuguese Marines still use that pattern with a different background color.
