Totally agree with you. This pics show how efficent is this camo used on cuban vegetation:
This is a nice video about the 40° of EMCC foundation (Escuela Militar Camilo Cienfuegos)

I dare disagree with both of you. It looks almost like Polish pantera wz.93 camo scheme.
I said almost and I do agree it is, well... not perfect
Anyway, regardless one color less in Cuban scheme, it repeats the same error: too little contrast what is a key of good effective camos.
I agree on principle with your statement about contrast being key in a good pattern. In this particular case, however, I firmly believe the lack of of a light tan in the background actually improves this pattern due to the characteristics of the Cuban terrain for which it was designed.
The People's Supreme Court on December 6 decided to commute the death penalty to 30 years of prison for Otto Rene Rodriguez Llerena. He is accused for the crime of terrorism and bomb attack.
Rodríguez Llerena, a Salvadoran citizen, placed on 3 August 1997 a bomb under a seat in the lobby of the hotel Melia Cohiba in Havana timed to explode at quarter past seven of the next day.
Although the bomb caused no casualties, it caused damage to the hotel valued at $ 6,500.
In fulfilling this mission, the Salvadoran mercenary received $ 1,000 from Posada Carriles.
Cuban President Raul Castro attended today's celebration of Hanukkah or "Festival of Lights", at the Havana Board of the House of cuban Jewish Community.
"We are extremely happy and proud to participate in this celebration with you and hope to repeat the visit to learn more about the Jewish Community of Cuba and the fabulous stories of the Jewish people" said Raul Castro.
