Default Israel kills six Palestinians in West Bank, Gaza

NABLUS, West Bank (*******) - Israeli soldiers shot and killed six Palestinians in two separate incidents on Saturday in the occupied West and the Gaza Strip, in one of the most deadly outbreaks of violence in months.
An Israeli military spokeswoman said soldiers shot and killed three Palestinians suspected of trying to infiltrate from Hamas-ruled coastal Gaza, and Palestinian medics and sources said three militants were killed in a West Bank raid.
The violence came a day before the anniversary of a Gaza war that killed some 1,400 Palestinians and 13 Israelis, and underscored rising tensions as U.S.-sponsored peace talks have remained stalled for a year.
There was no immediate Palestinian comment on the Gaza shooting.
In the West Bank, Palestinian medics and witnesses said soldiers surrounded the homes of three members of the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, a militant group from Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas's Fatah movement, and then killed all three.
The Israeli army had no immediate comment on the raid which took place two days after the same group was one of two to claim responsibility for the fatal shooting of an Israeli on Thursday on a West Bank road.
The Israeli had been the first killed in a Palestinian attack in about eight months in the West Bank, territory Israel captured in a 1967 war and which Palestinians seek for a state.
Sources in Fatah said those who were killed in the West Bank raid belonged to their group. The sources said all three of the dead had been disarmed under security measures taken by Abbas's police force and at least one had previously been on an Israeli wanted list.
Abbas has demanded a halt to Jewish settlement building before peace talks delayed since a Gaza war in January may resume, and has rejected a temporary building freeze announced last month by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as insufficient.

Good job to the Shin Bet and to the IDF unit (my guess is Duvdevan) that carried out the operation in Nablus.

Also good job to the IDF forces at the Gaza Strip, I guess the planned attack was intended to mark Operation Cast Lead's anniversary.

IDF officer says Nablus operation wasn't 'execution-style'
    Published: 12.26.09, 14:43 / Israel News
A senior officer in the Central Command said the IDF's operation Nablus, during which forces killed three gunmen who were responsible for the shooting death of a settler on Thursday, was carried according to army protocol.

"I reject claims according to which we had executed the terrorists," he said, "The operation was well-organized, and only when the troops were in danger did we open fire." (Hanan Greenberg)

And a little addition. these three were released not to long ago from prison in Israel, so long as the won't go back to terrorism.
As you can see, their signature isn't even worth the 3 drops of ink used to sign the papers.

    From today's photo section...

Israeli soldiers take position during an army operation in the West Bank city of Nablus, Dec. 26, 2009. Israeli soldiers on Saturday shot dead three Palestinians who the military says were involved in a roadside ambush that killed an Israeli settler earlier in the week. The operation in the West Bank city of Nablus targeted three activists of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah movement.

According to channel 10 it was combined operation by Nachson brigade[kfir] with Duvdevan, Nachson are sitting in Hatmar Shomron so it was operation by Horon[חורון] brigade/regiment, my guess is that Nachson secured the perimeter of the Casbah and Duvdevan together with the brave colonel stormed the houses when they refused to go outside..shame that I am in a course and missed all this action.

They all wear the same kinds of uniforms.. None of them have a unique type of uniform.
It was already confirmed as Duvdevan.

    Good job, IDF.
That's how justice is done with those scumbags.

Why did the soldiers risk themselves ???

I'm sure the IDF 'still' has some D9s to do the job when the murderers refuse to get arrested peacefully.

If some of the soldiers got shot to death, they'd say "Why didn't they just bulldoze the house?" and no one would have a good answer other than "We tried not to kill innocent civilians" ....

What a crazy country we live in , willing to risk own soldiers just to lower the chances of innocent Arabs getting hurt cause their neibghors chose to become "proffesional" terrorists.

Well those Arabs lives have the same value as any Israelis life and you can't always choose your neighbours or know of their nefarious doings. Kudos to the troops for a smooth execution.
