Even if he wasn't part of the finalists team which won the 2012 London Olympics Gold medal of 4x100 free swim (Amaury Leveaux, Fabien Gilot, Clément Lefert & Yannick Agnel), Alain Bernard (29), member of the team France is an idol for many : 2 times Olympic Gold Medal, 2 times World champion and 7 times European champion.

Alain Bernard is also a member of the French Military Family with the rank of MDCL/C (Maréchal des Logis Chef) in the French Gendarmerie.

Congrats Alain. Your last games went gold.

BSPP is a military unit but those are civilian (depend of interior ministry) ... they don't have FAMAS like BSPP. They are professionals and volunteers (in France 80% of firemen are volunteers, except Paris and Marseilles they are soldiers).
