Guys,
i need some help. This is NOT a BDP post. A good friend of mine was KIA in Afghanistan just before the new year. I have a photo of him and he has a patch on his ACUs that has a small US flag in the upper left corner, his Blood Group, under that is NKA (no known allergies), and on the bottom, his callsign. The patch is rectangular, and in subdued colors.
I want to have replicas made for several of his closest friends, and some family members.
Again this not for airsoft or BDP purposes, this is serious.
Does anyone know of a source/vendor whos can make these? your help would be greatly appreciated.
PMs are OK. Thanks in advance.
Thanks for the replies. He has a child due in Feb., and I want to make sure she has one. He was one of the good ones, and will be greatly missed. I may have to use Butler, if I can"t find an official vendor.
Judging from the quality of the BDP patches made, the company that they used might be a good choice to consider. I am sorry to hear about your friend, may he Rest In Peace and his sacrifice will never be forgotten
Theirs a Canadian Company that makes such a product called CPGear. All of there products are good quality least all the stuff Ive bought from them and I haven't heard anyone complain about there products or the quality.
Only thing is its a Canadian website and makes stuff in camo that the Canadian military uses like cadpat but they've started using other colours like coyote brown and multicam and acu but these patches are only available in cadpat- tw and arid but they also sell them in coyote brown...so here is the site and page there on.
These patches come with the Canadian flag on them but I'm sure you could contact the company and explain the situation to them and I'm sure they would be willing to make some patches to the specifics you want.
If it is just an embroided patch, there are plenty of companies that can make them. I had a bunch of unit patches made for me lately, and I just googled a bit and found plenty in my area. Look for advertisers, business gift companies etc..
Since the number was fairly large I asked for offer in several places, and got replies ranging from 2,5 EUR to 7 EUR each (quite complicated, fully custom patch). if you are planning to make just a few it maybe doesn't matter. But it might be worthwhile to ask around for prices too.
I have a patch exactly like you're talking about that was made at Bagram. It's very likely that your friend picked his up over here. Either way, if you can draw a half decent picture any good patch maker should be able to replicate it.
The picture was taken when he was in Ramadi, so it was probably made in Iraq. I'll send the photo off to a couple of companies and see what they can do.
Thanks.
